It's 100% high grade Cacao paste that has been made from bean to bar with the highest possible quality Cacao beans, and nothing else added. It is obtained following traditional ways of growing and caring for this plant through the making process. From harvesting, fermenting, drying, roasting, peeling and grinding, the cacao beans are handled with all the care and intention. It is made honouring traditions and respecting the land and the people involved in these traditional processes.

Although we don’t hold an official organic certification certificate all our varieties are grown organically and without chemical fertilisers or pesticides.

We recommend a dosage of 20gr to 44gr per serving. For daily use we advice a serving of 20-30gr.
If it is your first time trying Cacao we advise you to start with 15 to 20gr and increase as it feels comfortable.
For ceremonial use we recommend 44gr for a maximum of 3 times per week.
Anything above 44gr is not recommended as it can be too much for the body.

Yes, the levels of cadmium and lead in our Cacao are within safe limits under the EU standards. We are also proud to have one of the lowest levels of heavy metals in comparison to other Cacao brands in the market.

You can have Cacao on a daily basis specially if you’re having a normal serving (20gr to 30gr). However, always listen to your body. You always know best!

Anyone under antidepressant medications (SSRIs) should consume Cacao in small doses, but consult with a doctor or health professional before as it can interfere with the effectiveness of these medications.
Anyone experiencing heart problems, low blood pressure or undergoing chemotherapy should also have a low dosage and consult with a doctor before introducing high amounts of Cacao into their diet.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women are usually ok to consume Cacao in lower doses (15gr to 20 gr). We recommend listening to your body and consulting with a health practitioner should you have any concerns.

Cacao naturally contains magnesium (which aids muscle relaxation), and supports melatonin production in the body (which is the sleep hormone) which combined can promote a better sleep.
Cacao also contains very small amounts of caffeine and it is generally ok to have in the evenings. Some people are a little bit more sensitive to, so we recommend trying it and seeing how you feel.

All our varieties are sourced directly from indigenous communities who grow this cacao in the Sierra nevada de Santa Marta.
They vary in flavour profiles and all the tasting notes can be found on each variety’s page.
Our JABA is the closest to a ‘dark chocolate’ flavour with tasting notes of coffee and roasted nuts (these are flavours and not ingredients).
Our ATI variety is our boldest and unique in flavour, having tasting notes of citrus fruits and a velvety texture.
Our SIERRA variety is a limited edition ancient strain that has notes of caramel, toasted nuts and floral hints, making its taste stand out from other Ceremonial Cacao in the market.
